Chapter 4: Teamwork

The four Niji Chikara girls meet up at Rikou Nikara's house, where they all meet both Rikou and each other for the first time. Rikou explains the Niji Chikara again for the benefit of Green Nature and Yellow Lightning, then explains the concept of True Darkness—a state in which a villain becomes fully engulfed by the Darkness, losing the last thread of their humanity and becoming far more powerful, and is the only time when they can be purified by the Niji Chikara's cleansing light. The girls discuss how to deal with this problem with minimal collateral damage, with Yellow's overly pragmatic approach causing friction with the others.

Meanwhile, Teinei tells Kietsu that he's going for a walk, allowing him to retreat into a secluded alleyway as Masked Malice and practice using his own powers. While there, he encounters Blood Rose, a mysterious villainess with telekinetic powers. She proposes an alliance between them, and Malice, remembering his desire to become stronger, decides to give her a chance. Rose offers to make him a new villain outfit, and he agrees, so they take off toward a local fabric store.

Back at Rikou's house, Rikou teaches the girls about some unique properties of their magical powers, including Red Fire's ability to create non-flammable fire, and Green Nature's ability to create wind. But when Green fumbles with delicate movements with her vines, and Yellow makes fun of her for it, Green retreats, embarrassed by her failure. Blue Water reassures her, saying that she's very talented and more than one mistake. This lifts her spirits enough to resume training.

Meanwhile, Malice and Rose arrive at the fabric store, scaring everyone off with Malice's explosive powers. After working together to design an outfit for Malice, Rose tells him that it will probably take her a few days to finish the outfit, asking for a way to contact him. Malice, unwilling to give his contact info to her, instead asks if they can meet here again on Monday. Rose agrees to this, and they part ways.

Similarly, as the Niji Chikara girls wrap up their training, Rikou invites them inside for some lemonade to wind down. As they do so, Aijou reluctantly shares her phone number with the others, and they make plans to meet again at Rikou's house tomorrow afternoon. Yukai also proposes meeting up for ice cream to get to know each other, which Aijou refuses. Regardless, with plans solidified, they part ways.
